DMW actively promotes good employee training and professional advancement opportunities

April 2014. DMW Maschinen- und Werkzeugbau GmbH from Geiersthal takes an optimistic view regarding the future. The company promotes this target and the specific requirements for its own employees and in all sectors. So it is not surprising that all six trainees from our factory successfully passed the 2013/2014 winter exam set by IHK Niederbayern in Passau. Of our six trainees, three are training to be toolmakers and the other three are training to be milling centre operators and Christian Fuchs (toolmaker apprentice) passed the final exam with an "Excellent" grade. This puts him amongst the top seven percent of the graduates from his apprenticeship year and he won an award from the IHK Niederbayern. DMW Maschinen- und Werkzeugbau GmbH is very proud of this achievement. At the present moment there are 22 apprentices studying to qualify as technical product designers, milling centre operators, toolmakers, industrial mechanics and industrial sales representatives. Five more apprentices will start their training in September 2014 to qualify as technical product designers, milling centre operators and toolmakers.

The company from Geiersthal is fully committed to promoting further and advanced professional training amongst their employees and Florian Kopp was top of the class in his advanced training course in which he qualified as a human resources manager (IHK).

The high proportion of trainees, the specific requirements regarding the apprentices as well as the extensive further and advanced professional training activities means that DMW GmbH needs to recruit specialists not only from our own ranks but to also ensure that our employees always have the chance of advanced professional training in order to be able to put them and the company on the right course for the future.

Applications for the industrial sales representatives, milling centre operators, toolmakers and technical product designer training courses that will start in September 2015 can be submitted from July 2014 onwards. We will be pleased to receive any type of spontaneous application.

Training supervisor Andreas Lex (L) together with apprentices Tobias Penzkofer (milling centre operator), Johann Kiefl (toolmaker), Dominik Schötz (toolmaker), personnel manager Florian Kopp, CEO Marion Loibl, Christian Fuchs holding his award from the IHK (toolmaker) and one of the partners, Dr. Robert Hartell
